Humanity during COVID-19: stores open early for elderly and other heartwarming stories

Confusion and panic. Dread fills the air — or does it? Here is a list of humanity and hope amidst these testing times we are in.

In Spain and Italy, where people are under lockdown, people are seen and heard clapping from their balconies, as a thank you to all the healthcare professionals working endlessly caring for the influx of patients — both relating to COVID-19 and also the regular cases.

Singapore’s Prime Minister gives a reassuring speech to the country’s citizens in what is perhaps a show of the best leadership yet amidst this outbreak. Towards the end, the Prime Minister seems to be holding back tears as he wraps up his speech with a note of gratitude, hope and unity.
